Karena prestasinya itu, wanita yang baru berusia 18 tahun ini diberi kesempatan mengeyam pendidikan di Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Muslim Indonesia (UMI) Makassar tanpa tes.
Ia diterima pada penerimaan mahasiswa baru 2019.
Bukan hanya bebas tes, Nur Afdhaliyah juga diberi kebijakan gratis selama kuliah di UMI.
Padahal, jika membayar mandiri dia harus membayar dana SPP senilai Rp 300 juta dan BPP sebanyak Rp 20 juta sampai selesai.
Total maba UMI tahun akademik 2019/2020 kali ini sebanyak 5.913 mahasiswa.

Mereka tersebar di 13 fakultas dan satu akademi bahasa asing.
"Saya sangat bersyukur. Kemudahan yang saya rasakan ini pasti berkat-Nya,” katanya kepada Munjiyah, jurnalis tribunpangkep.com, Kamis (29/8/2019).
Ia pun menyampaikan banyak berterima karena UMI punya program untuk para hafiz-hafizah.
Menurutnya, program ini sangat positif karena bisa mendorong makin banyak orang mau menghafal Al Quran.
Putri dari Marmiati dan almarhum Syarifuddin ini mengaku sejak SMA memang bercita-cita menjadi dokter sekaligus hafizah.
19 Bulan
Nur Afdhaliyah mengaku bisa hafal 30 juz Al Quran dalam waktu relatif singkat yakni 19 bulan atau 1 tahun 7 bulan.
“Alhamdulillah saya bisa menghafal dengan baik setelah saya masuk program Takhassus pada Agustus 2015 di pesantren," kata Afdhaliyah, panggilannya.
Kelas Takhashush Al-Qur’an merupakan kelas unggulan yang diperuntukkan bagi siswa yang ingin mendalami bidang al Quran, khususnya pada hafalannya.
Motivasi menjadi hafizah, kata Afdhaliyah karena awalnya ia mendengar akan mendapatkan banyak kemudahan dalam hidup.

"Selain itu, semoga dengan menghafal Al Quran saya bisa membawa kedua orangtua menuju surga yang telah dijanjikan Allah SWT,” tuturnya.
Tapi katanya, agar mudah mengingat hafalan al Quran, tipsnya dianjurkan dilakukan penuh dengan keikhlasan.
Jenjang pendidikan Afdhaliyah dimulai dari Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) di Kabupaten Kolaka, Sulawesi Tenggara.
Ia kemudian melanjutkan pendidikan ke jenjang SMP dan SMA di Pesantren Ponpes Darul Aman Makassar.
Gadis berumur 18 tahun ini mengaku baru serius menghafal Al Quran sejak naik kelas 1 SMA, dengan mengikuti program Takhassus.
Program ini kata Afdhaliyah mengantarnya menghafal 30 juz hingga dia mendapatkan biaya kuliah gratis.
"Saya sangat berterima kasih pula kepada kedua orangtua saya yang doanya tidak pernah putus," ujarnya.
Prestasinya, ia pernah juara 1 Hifztil 30 juz tingkat Provinsi Sulawesi Tenggara.

Ia juga juara 1 Musabaqah Kitab Kuning Provinsi Sulsel dan juara 2 Tafsir Bahasa Arab tingkat Provinsi Sulsel.
Dia adalah anak kedua dari tiga bersaudara dan tinggal di Makassar.
Dia juga suka membaca buku motivasi dan menyukai makanan yang semuanya bernuansa keju.
